Our Lady of Peace

The Angel of Peace
Angel of Peace-thou hast wandered too long!
Spread thy white wings to the sunshine of love!
Come while our voices are blending in song.
Fly to our ark like the storm beaten dove!
Fly to our ark-on the wings of a dove!
Speed o'er the far sounding billows of song!
Crowned with thine olive leaf garland of love,
Angel of Peace-thou hast waited too long!
Matthias Keller

This Angel brings the message of Hope and Peace to our
world. She reminds us to be grateful for our lives, prosperity and
peace. She asks us to recognize the urgency for worldwide harmony and
brings the energy to help us create our own. Let this Angel bring to
you that coveted hope for Peace. Peace reminds us of the importance of
embracing diversity and accepting others for the unique souls that
they are. Through Peace, we will someday reach a harmonious existence
here on Earth, where together, we'll live united as one family.
There is also a long-standing custom that the angel of peace is
actually a member of a group probably numbering seven, one of the holy
numbers. That there is more than one angel of peace is attested
perhaps by the passage in the Old Testament Book of Isaiah (33:7).
They weep because of the lack of peace in the world.
Angel of Peace
from “The Essene Gospel of Peace”
Whose kiss bestoweth calm,
And whose face is as the surface
Of untroubled waters, Wherein the moon is reflected.
I will invoke Peace, Whose breath is friendly,
Whose hand smooths the troubled brow.
In the reign of Peace,
There is neither hunger nor thirst,
Neither old age or death.
But to him that hath not peace in his soul,
There is no place to build within The Holy Temple;
For how can the carpenter build In the midst of a whirlwind?
The seed of violence can reap only a harvest of desolation,
And from the parched clay can grow no living thing.
Seek ye then the Angel of Peace,
Who is as the morning star
In the midst of a cloud,
As the moon at the full,
As a fair olive tree budding forth fruit,
And as the sun shining on the temple of the most High.
Peace dwells in the heart of silence:
Be still, and know that I am God.
Dona nobis pacem; grant us peace.
